Persib Bandung has officially unveiled their squad for the BRI Liga 1 2024/2025 season. Thirty players were presented during the Pesta Rakyat Persib event at GOR C-Tra Arena, Bandung, on Sunday, August 4, 2024. During the launch event, five new players were presented to the Bobotoh supporters. The new signings include Mateo Kocijan, Dimas Drajad, Adam Alis, Gustavo Franca, and Mailson Lima. This season, besides competing in BRI Liga 1, Persib will also participate in the AFC Champions League 2, following their BRI Liga 1 championship win last season. In the 2024/2025 season, BRI Liga 1 clubs are permitted to sign up to eight foreign players, with no restrictions on their nationalities. Persebaya Surabaya has signed Darryl Lachman as their seventh foreign player for the season. Originally, Persebaya intended to utilize just six foreign players, but recent circumstances prompted them to bring in Darryl Lachman. Bojan Hodak is a Croatian football coach currently managing Persib Bandung. He was born on May 4, 1971, in Zagreb, Yugoslavia (now Croatia). With extensive experience in various leagues, particularly in Southeast Asia, Hodak brings a distinctive coaching style and an impressive track record. Prior to leading Persib to the Liga 1 title in the 2023/2024 season, Hodak had experience with several clubs, such as Kelantan FC, Johor Darul Ta'zim, PSM Makassar, and Kuala Lumpur City. He also had a stint as the Malaysia U-19 national team coach. Hodak is known for his disciplined approach and clear playing philosophy. He often employs a 4-4-2 formation and emphasizes the importance of good game organization. Additionally, Hodak is recognized for his close relationship with his players, including the young talents at Persib.

Compared to the previous season, Persija Jakarta has made few changes to their squad. Key players like Hanif Sjahbandi and Syahrian Abimanyu, who were rumored to be transferring, chose to remain. Marko Simic and Gustavo Almeida have also stayed with the team. The team has lost two senior players, Maman Abdulrahman and Tony Sucipto.
