Line-up

The album's third, Turn Back, marked a return to the classic sextet format of previous albums. It was a stronger, more consistent effort with a harder edge than Hydra. The more edgy sound of the album was indicative of the maturation of group and included drummer Bobby Kimball's improved proficiency on the drums, as well as an improved, mature vocal delivery from singer Joseph Williams.
