The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a good choice if you're looking for a mid-priced robot vacuum and mop. It gives a great mopping experience, but doesn't have the features that make up its more expensive sibling.

During testing it was able to take on dry oats and dust on medium-pile carpet and pet hair on hard flooring. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't use LIDAR to map out your home.

iRobot Roomba s9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top best budget robot vacuum and mop vacuums. It has impressive cleaning power and plenty of features such as a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. It can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest automated schedules to provide a hands-free and effortless experience.

It's easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once the system is in place, you can start automated cleaning with a single button. You can choose the general clean option which focuses on the elimination of larger particles like rice and cereal. Or you can opt for two thorough mappings to ensure that your home is cleaned thoroughly.

This robot vac performs well on both floors that are bare and low-pile carpet. It is able to pick up pet hair and clean big objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with carpets that are high-pile or plush, but iRobot claims that future models will be better.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that is focused on enhancing the edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's a nice improvement over the hockey puck-like design of most robovacs, though we discovered it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also features a superior filtration system which blocks tiny particles and allergens from circulating within your home. We like the statement but not enough to justify a higher price.

Its smart navigation system employs a combination of sensors to remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. It then cleans your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and set virtual boundaries to ensure that the robot is aware of which areas need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it comes to robots that combine mopping and vacuuming the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those on more expensive models. Its mopping system is better because its spinning pads scrub your floors much more efficiently than an ordinary pad that vibrates.

It's only downside is the absence of a second brush to allow for deeper cleaning. But that's not a major issue if you want to own one of the top robots available. The dust tank on the robovac is larger than many of its competitors, and filling it takes just two or three cycles, even when you've got the most dirt.

In terms of the mopping device, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub off tough dirt from my floors. The two lowest mopping settings that are less powerful than the high-powered modes, produce very minimal noise, meaning you can work or even watch television without getting distracted. If it comes into contact with an object, such as a wall or piece of furniture it gently smacks into it and then moves forward.

The Q Revo is unique in that it can run almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac has multiple functions and automatically transfers garbage into a bin hidden. It also cleans and dries the clean water tank. The app will only alert you when something is not right like a low clean water tank or a canceled vacuuming session due to a full bin.

You can also create or combine actual rooms in order to alter the way Q Revo treats your home. This is an excellent feature for those who have multiple rooms in your home that have different floor materials or if there's a lot of clutter that needs to be cleared out frequently, like clothes, toys and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was one of the top performers in my tests, removing dirt from carpets and hardwoods in its first run. It can even vacuum up wet spills but I would suggest drying them with a damp cloth prior to sending the cheap robot vacuum in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a premium robot vacuum and mop combo and more. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it is a top-quality vacuum with powerful suction that cleans carpet and hard floors, as well as a rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also has an auto-cleaning station that automatically washes and empties the mop pads to keep them clean and ready to be reused. It also features a new sensor system that can better recognizes obstacles, giving it the ability to avoid falling over furniture or other objects.

The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it has a sleeker, more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best robot floor scrubber known for Bang & Olufsen products). While still quite massive--it's nearly two feet high and deep and weighs almost four pounds--the robot and its base are much smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1, as it has faster battery charging and can handle a complete cleaning of about 1,500 square feet with just one charge. It also has a bigger and more robust dustbin that can store more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

Lastly, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app and an assistant voice that works offline, allowing you to control it even when you're not at home. It also comes with additional mopping modes as well as a smart routing feature that gives it the flexibility to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of simply following a predetermined path.

The Omni X2 Omni has the best robot sweep and mop mopping performance of any robot we've tested, thanks to its mop pads that rotate to remove tough stains and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is also outstanding, and it also increases suction when it detects carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It comes with a huge, rechargeable battery that can last up to one week. The mopping feature of the robot is also extremely effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a premium model that comes with a variety of features that aren't typically found on robots of this price. It is able to create detailed floor maps and identify different flooring types. It's also one of the few robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. While these features are great however, they also push the L10s Ultra into the category of luxury which could make it slightly more expensive than the average homeowner require.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It's tall and slim with a white finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine has an enormous bumper that shields the vacuum cleaner and furniture while moving around your home. In the pane in the front is an additional navigation technology that is comprised of sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum there is a single button that is used as an on/off switch. The button will activate the vacuum mop robot. Clicking it again will turn it off and send it to its base station. The circular menu located in the center of the control panel lets users to select cleaning options, schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons will open the settings of the app where you can customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technologies to map out your house. This helps the robot clean and mop efficiently, without getting stuck. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and recognize them, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or small children.

The L10s Ultra offers solid vacuuming performance that clears 98.4 percent of the debris from our test on the hard floor and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice stains. Its mops are also quite efficient, removing 98.4 percent of the debris that was found on our wood, tile and carpet tests. However, it wasn't quite as effective in removing sand from the floor, or quaker oats on the carpet.
